Curtain Library’s modern 300 sqm showroom is situated in Randburg. It boasts a large selection of fabric swatches from local and international fabric houses, as well as decorating ideas and over 60 blinds on permanent, functional display.
Curtain Library has a staff complement of twelve full-time employees, including eight blinds and decorating consultants with over 100 years’ combined experience in the decorating business, two dedicated and highly experienced installers, and a small admin department. The company primarily focuses on curtains and blinds.
From its base in Gauteng, Curtain Library has served clients throughout South Africa as well as further afield in Angola, Botswana, the DRC, Lesotho, Namibia, Nigeria, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Curtain Library was founded in 1986. The original shop was at the Randburg Mall, but declining customer numbers made it necessary to move to a new premises in 1997. Since then Curtain Library has occupied the same premises, but has taken on additional space in the course of its organic growth.
The founder and owner of the business is Hans Endres, who moved to South Africa from Germany in 1969. Hans is an expert in textiles and gained professional experience working for clothing retailers, both in sales and in international procurement.
